There are many ways that you can volunteer with HRA, both with the horses, and from your home.
Volunteer days & working with the horses
We hold regular volunteer days at our Freeman’s Reach property every second month. The days run from 10am till 2pm. We supply morning tea and coffee, but ask you to bring along a drink for yourself and some lunch.
Usually we give all the horses a much needed groom and clean up, and also do a little bit of "poo patrol", but that is entirely voluntary!
Mostly it is just a nice day spent in the company of the horses, and other like minded people. Closed in shoes must be worn, but boots are preferable.
Sorry, but dogs are strictly not allowed.
We also need a helping hand with our farrier visits, and our annual dentist visit – with an average of 16 – 20 horses to get through, the more help the better!
